8 is Great -- Celebrate with Us!
WOW! It's hard to believe we're celebrating 8 GREAT years of Dressie Jessie Smocking! In many ways, it feels like just yesterday that the idea of starting my own line of children's clothing was born. I really had no clue what I was doing, and here's a secret for you, there are some days I still feel that way, ha! That said, what propelled me forward 8 years ago continues to motivate me today--the conviction that childhood is fleeting and children deserve to be treated (and dressed!) like children. Take it from this mom of 4, they grow up quickly. Our oldest 2 are now college graduates living in different states. Our third son is about to begin his junior year at James Madison Universtiy, and our daughter is going to be a senior in high school. It simply doesn't feel possible. While it can be overwhelming, I truly try to find "joy in the journey" and watching them soar is a beautiful thing.
As I contemplated what to say in this blog post, I landed here -- I am thrilled to be celebrating 8 GREAT years in business, but I want you to know, it hasn't been all "great." I have faced many challenges and struggles over the past 8 years -- covid, inflation, rising shipping costs, ever-changing technology and algorithms -- it hasn't been easy. Truly, I wouldn't still be in business without the unwaivering support of my family and friends, and quite honestly, without you. My precious customers, I can never thank you enough for choosing Dressie Jessie Smocking for your children. I know there are bigger and better websites out there, but I am certain of this, the love and appreciation I feel for each of you is unmatched. I am TRULY humbled and grateful for each order, each shared picture on social media, each kind word spoken. From the bottom of my heart, thank you.
Looking ahead, I'm really excited about all of the NEW styles coming to Dressie Jessie Smocking. More "Back to School" options will be hitting the website in about a week, including comfy knits as well as classic smocked styles. I realize this is jumping way ahead, but Easter 2024 is shaping up to be my favorite EVER! I don't want to rush time, but I am so excited for you to see. :)

Congratulations on 8 years! I found you about 7 years ago…didn’t realize then that you were just starting out. I am on baby 4 now and still purchasing from Dressie Jessie. I love the classic look for my last baby boy.
I agree that time flies, and I only have a 3.5 and 1.5 year old!! Thank you for sharing your little bits of wisdom and your adorable stylish clothes. I will never forget the first piece of clothing I bought from your website because it is still my absolute favorite outfit! The sweetest knit smocked bubble for my first born boy, and we loved being able to pass it down to his little brother. Baby boy #3 is on the way so you better believe he will get it wear it too :) Wishing you many more great years!
